When I read Gone With the Wind I didn’t think of looking for a song that would go with it well, but a few months after I finished it I listned to a song and out of nowhere popped the thought of that exact book. The song is Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald. It’s very slow and lazy. Leaves you with the feeling of a hot summer day, the sun shining on the rooftop while you sit in the shadow of the front porch and watch the haze of the days you wish never ended. I would actually recommend listening to any of her songs, they make the book even more intense than it already is.
